SCORE CARDS 2010 - Thursday, May 13, 2010

THIS YEAR ONWARDS HARD COPY OF THE SCORE CARDS WILL NOT BE SENT TO THE CANDIDATES OR ISSUED BY THE TEST CENTER.

CANDIDATE CAN VIEW THE SCORE CARD ON WEBSITE AND GET A PRINT. THIS PRINT, SELF ATTESTED SHOULD BE ENCLOSED WITH THE APPLICATION. THIS BEING PUBLIC WEBSITE FOR SAFETY & PRIVACY, PHOTO AND ADDRESS OF CANDIDATE ARE NOT DISPLAYED ON THE SCORE CARD.

ADMISSION AUTHORITIES ARE REQUIRED TO VERIFY THE SCORE FROM OUR WEBSITE BASED ON PRINT SUPPLIED BY THE CANDIDATE.

 
NO score Averaging on first attempt for Last year's Candidates - Friday, May 07, 2010

For candidates who have attempted NATA 2009, before 31st December 2009, carrying valid NATA scores on date of getting new appointment and not admitted to Architecture course in academic year 2009-10 or before, their NATA scores  WILL NOT BE AVERAGED for their first attempt in 2010 irrespective of being paid or free attempt. For subsequent attempts score will be averaged as usual.

New (unaveraged) scores for those candidates who have already attempted NATA 2010 will be updated on our server with effect from Tuesday, 11th May 2010.

The completely filled forms along with the DD and necessary documents should be submitted at the Test Centers from 1st March 2010.

The list of Test Centers will be made available and continuously updated from 1st March 2010.

 
Changes in NATA test - Notice for previously appeared candidates. - Monday, February 15, 2010

CLARIFICATION TO THIS NOTIFICATION (02-06-2010): Based on the queries by some students regarding the following notification, we wish to clarify that this is a dated notification valid for students satisfying the condition mentioned below (i.e Students who have given exam in year 2008 and 2009) as on 16th February 2010. For students who are giving their NATA exam only in year 2010, are not eligible for any FREE ATTEMPT.

There are certain minor changes in the scoring system for NATA 2010.

In case candidates who have previously appered for NATA and who are holding valid NATA score till date beyond 30th September 2010 and not admitted to any college till date wish to get benefit of new scoring system, may appear for NATA again. One attempt will be provided to such candidates free of charge. This attempt will be considered as fresh attempt and average with previous score will not be carried out.

Interested candidates may please contact the test center where they have appeared for their last attempt along with original score card for the appointment.

Participating Institutions - Friday, March 06, 2009

List of Participating institutions in India, who are admitting students only through NATA is posted in the documents section.

The prospective students are also advised to confirm the approval status of the institution from the Council of Architecture website http://www.coa.gov.in/school/gen_info.htm before taking admission to the First Year of the five year  B.Arch course of any institution in the country.

What Is It?
The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability, that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of study, i.e. Architecture.
Who Takes It and Why?
Prospective applicants desirous of taking admission to First year of undergraduate course in Architecture (Bachelor of Architecture) in India take NATA. NATA scores are used by admissions authorities of different Government, Govt. Aided & unaided schools / colleges of Architecture, to provide common measures for comparing the qualifications of applicants.
Where Do People Take It?
NATA is offered over major part of admission season at designated Test Centers located at colleges / schools of architecture in India. Updated list of Test centers is available at the website http://www.nata.in
Who Accepts It?
All schools / colleges of Architecture, Government, Government aided, University Departments, private unaided, including colleges affiliated to self-financed Deemed Universities and Private Universities, or any department of Architecture within a college, requires that its applicants take the NATA.
Test Fees
NATA Fees are Rs.800, and are to be paid at the time of Registration and before collection of the appointment voucher from the Test Center. The test fees are to be paid by Demand draft/ banker’s cheque drawn in favour of ‘Council of Architecture’, payable at New Delhi. Candidate has to carry filled registration form, support documents & D/D to the Test center for Registration & appointment.
